Inman Aligners & Clear Aligners (Smart Moves, Invisalign, Clear Correct...)

hand holding an invisalign clear aligner I cook family dental in birmingham ALClearCorrect is a short-term orthodontic treatment that uses clear aligners to guide crooked or crowded teeth into a more harmonious position. They are similar to Invisalign, with the primary difference being that they are a newer product and the aligners are made in the United States.

Determine Treatment Plan

If you are considering ClearCorrect, Dr. Aaron Cook will start by sitting down with you to discuss your goals to see how we can help. If we determine that this treatment is right for you, he will take digital x-rays and images of your teeth. This information is shared with software that helps Dr. Cook plan the precise movement of your teeth throughout treatment.

Custom Plastic Aligners

Based on our specifications, a series of comfortable plastic aligner trays are designed for you. You will be instructed to wear the trays for no less than 22 hours per day for about two weeks. At the end of that time, you will switch to the next set of aligners that continue to move your teeth.

Our patients choose ClearCorrect because they are comfortable and easy to wear. The aligners can also be removed for eating, oral hygiene, or special occasions. Everyone has unique needs, but treatment with ClearCorrect typically takes about a year to complete for adults.

This is a difficult question because Invisalign treatment in Birmingham varies significantly with each patient's unique needs and circumstances.

For example, if you've had braces in the past and maybe forgot to wear your retainer, you may only have a few slight rotations, overlapped teeth, or gaps to correct. In this case, your treatment could be twelve months or less.

On the other hand, if you have complicated bite corrections and teeth to align, your treatment may take as long as 18–24 months.

So how do you find out how long Invisalign in Birmingham might take for you? Call (205) 326-6384 and schedule an evaluation with Dr. Cook.

Dr. Cook is a certified Invisalign provider, and he'll use photos, x-rays, and a thorough examination to determine if invisible braces are the right treatment for you. He'll also be able to tell you exactly how long your treatment might take and how much it will cost during this appointment.

With Invisalign treatment, compliance is the key to success. For example, you could prolong your treatment if you are not wearing your clear aligners for at least 22 hours daily.

You are in luck because today you are not limited to bulky metal braces to get the look you desire; Invisalign clear braces make your treatment easy, comfortable, and efficient.

Clear Plastic Aligners

Instead of metal brackets and wires that guide your teeth, Invisalign works with clear plastic aligners that gently guide your teeth into proper position. The aligners are virtually invisible and, unlike metal brackets and wires, won’t poke into your cheeks and cause tenderness and irritation.

Benefits of Invisalign

Another benefit of using Invisalign is that you can remove the trays as needed to eat or brush and floss. Just remember that you need to wear the aligners at least 22 hours per day, and the longer you wear them, the sooner you will be finished with treatment!

Perhaps the most significant benefit is that treatment can usually be completed in about a year for adults. Treatment times for teens with mild to moderate alignment issues are similar to those with traditional orthodontics.
