Xeomin (Zeo-min) is another injectable that is similar in makeup to Botox. However, unlike Botox, Xeomin has no additives, resulting in a purer form of the active ingredient.
Maximum effects of both Botox and Xeomin are visible after about two weeks, but Xeomin tends to have a more gradual onset than Botox. Studies have shown that both drugs are equally effective at reducing "dynamic" facial wrinkles and lines.
What to Expect from Botox Treatment
Before we begin, Dr. Aaron Cook will talk to you about your goals, the procedure itself, and the results you can expect. As part of his dental training, Dr. Cook has studied the entire anatomy of the head, neck, and oral cavity extensively. He has also completed advanced training in the administration of Botox, making him highly qualified to deliver comfortable Botox injections with precision and accuracy.
You can expect to feel a slight pinch as part of the injection; it is also common to experience some redness, soreness, or mild bruising, but these will fade after two or three days.
It can take three to five days to notice results as your facial muscles relax, but in about two weeks, you will see the full effects of treatment. And there's no worry that your face
will look "frozen" because surrounding muscles that Dr. Cook hasn't treated contract normally, leaving your facial expressions with a natural appearance.
