Your family's safety and comfort has always been and remains our top priority here at Cook Family Dental. In addition to following our standard stringent safety and sterilization protocols, we have also taken extra measures to ensure that our patients and staff members remain safe during the time spent at our Birmingham, AL dental office. Here's what you can expect at your next visit to Cook Family Dental.
Reducing Your Contact to Reduce Exposure
We have taken some measures to help reduce contact between our patients and staff, as well as providing more touch-free options for cleaning and sanitizing your hands in our treatment rooms and restrooms.
First, we are requesting that all patients come to their appointments by themselves unless they are accompanying a child or someone needing their assistance. Also, anyone entering our office is asked to wear a mask, or we will provide one for them. We have a new touchless thermometer that we will use to scan all patients and staff prior to their appointments or work shift.
We have also gathered additional hand sanitizer dispensers that patients and staff members can use throughout the office, and we will be making hypochlorous acid to use with wipes and a cold fogger to disinfect the office throughout the day. Hypochlorous acid eliminates viral, bacterial, and fungal human pathogens quickly to minimize the spread of viruses.
New Additions to Our Dental Office for Your Added Protection
We are excited to announce that we have purchased four medical-grade HEPA air purifiers that will be placed throughout the office. These heavy-duty air purifiers filter particles down to 0.01 microns in size. Per the CDC, the coronavirus is 0.125 microns, so our air purifiers can potentially filter out airborne viruses like COVID-19.
We've also installed the award-winning REME Halo into our HVAC. This system has proven to be highly effective at inactivating viruses, mold, and bacteria.
We are excited to welcome you back to our dental office in Birmingham, and we know you'll feel at ease with these new and continuing safety measures we've added for your care. Give Cook Family Dental a call today at (205) 326-6384 to schedule your next appointment.
