When my patients require orthodontic care, I always do my best to answer their questions and clearly explain all their treatment options. I want every patient to make informed decisions about their oral health, and I believe education is the best way to do just that.

If you have mild to moderate orthodontic concerns, Invisalign® may be an option. Clear aligner therapy can restore your oral health and give you a smile you’ll look forward to showing off.

Let me explain the process to you!

The Invisalign Process: What You Need to Know

Invisalign clear aligners are customized trays that fit snugly over your teeth, correcting numerous concerns, including crowding, gaps, overbite, crossbite, underbite, and open bite.

Here are the steps of the Invisalign process:

  1. Initial consultation — During your first visit, I will complete a comprehensive examination and talk to you about your smile goals and hygiene habits. This will help me determine your eligibility.
  2. Digital 3-D scans — If you’re a candidate for Invisalign, I will take digital impressions and send this data to the Invisalign lab so they can create your clear aligners. Each aligner is customized to your unique smile.
  3. Fitting — Once your aligners arrive at my office, I will show you how to put them in and ensure they fit properly. My team will teach you how to care for your aligners, give you tips for success, and answer any questions you may have. You’ll wear your aligners for 20-22 hours each day, removing them to eat, brush, and floss.
  4. Follow-up appointments — During your treatment, you’ll visit my office so I can review your progress and make any adjustments. My goal is to keep your treatment on schedule!
  5. Maintenance — Once you’ve completed your Invisalign treatment, you’ll wear a retainer to keep your teeth from shifting back to their original position.
