As a dentist, I’m committed to helping every patient achieve the healthiest teeth and gums possible. But I also understand that my patients want and deserve a smile they can be proud of. And because traditional braces can be bulky and unattractive, clear aligners are a fantastic way for teens and adults with mild to moderate orthodontic concerns to straighten their teeth without brackets and wires.

At my Birmingham, AL, dental office, I offer numerous aligner options, including ClearCorrect®. Let me explain this Invisalign® alternative to you so you can make the best choice for your budget, treatment timeline, and smile goals.

What Is ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect aligners are customized plastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth; they are a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional orthodontics.

You’ll wear your aligners for 20-22 hours each day, removing them only when it’s time to enjoy a meal, brush, or floss.

Every two weeks or so, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners until your teeth are in the correct position.

ClearCorrect vs. Invisalign: Which Is Right for You?

Every smile is unique, so when it’s time to decide which clear aligner therapy is right for you, I will listen to your concerns and smile goals and assess your orthodontic needs before presenting your options.

However, the final treatment decision is always yours to make.

Here are some differences between Invisalign and ClearCorrect:

  • Cost — Most insurance companies pay the same amount for Invisalign and ClearCorrect, but ClearCorrect can be a more budget-friendly option.
  • Material — ClearCorrect aligners use a thinner plastic, making them a bit less bulky. However, it may be a bit more delicate because of this.
  • Treatment complexity — Invisalign may be a better option if you have severe crowding or more complex treatment needs, while ClearCorrect could be best for cosmetic adjustments and mild orthodontic concerns.
